ABOUT BOSTON AND NEW ENGLAND BASED

ARTISTIC, DOCUMENTARY

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER CHRISTINA RICHARDS

I’ve spent the last fifteen years photographing weddings in Boston, California, and NYC, blending a documentary style with my fine art background. I live in New England with my husband, daughter, and wildflower garden.

If you’re anything like me, you envision natural, artistic wedding photographs that document your wedding in a way that allows you to be present and fully experience all the emotions of your day.

APPROACH

Creating wedding photographs is a collaborative experience between two people in love, their families, and their photographer. Calming and encouraging, I cultivate a space where my couples are comfortable and can immerse themselves in the joy and excitement of their celebration.

Film photography has been part of my process since I began studying photography back in 2002, at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Today, I use a variety of film and digital cameras to create atmospheric, layered, and natural photographs.

Beyond the iconic events of a wedding day, I specialize in capturing the nuanced moments that often go unnoticed. I aspire to transform ephemeral feelings and stolen glances into enduring memories.

ALL ARE WELCOME HERE

I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all couples. I am honored to document all stories, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity, disability, or religion.

“…I don’t know how often people get to have anything at their wedding happen exactly as they would have designed in their mind’s eye, but you were literally perfect.  And I can’t tell you how many of our relatives went out of their way to say what a wonderful presence you were. And the photos just speak for themselves – I’m so touched by the moments you’ve pulled together and how well you’ve captured the beauty of a place that is so meaningful to us…”

— Jessica and Mike

“... I can only imagine the staggering amount of effort you put into this and cannot express our gratitude enough with words over email- we really appreciate your work. Looking back on these photos helps us both remember the day (what a whirlwind) but let us recelebrate in the excitement and love that surrounded us. You are an incredible photographer and your professionalism with your craft is something we will always admire.”

— Gretchen and Allie

“…These photos are incredible. We could not have made a better photographer selection for our wedding. Your level of talent is beyond any expectations. It's always a privilege to work with individuals that are at the pinnacle of their art, such as yourself.”
