Nantucket Wedding at Galley Beach

So much passion, energy, and love at this June wedding on the Beach in Nantucket.

J and R had already selected a venue in the town they now love and call home but something just didn’t feel right. Over thanksgiving J’s father suggested that maybe they should have the wedding in Nantucket where the family spent many memorable holidays and vacations. That was it! Nantucket is such a special place, the ideal place for J and R to be married. It was an honor and a joy to be a part of this gorgeous June wedding along with so many talented people.

Pacifica Beach Wedding Begins with a Morning Surf

M and P got married on the shore of Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, CA. The couple included lots of personal details, the invites made with letterpress from the family print shop, the florals created by the bride and her friends, along with family heirlooms the brides grandmother’s purse and broach and the groom’s grandfather’s ring. I loved how personal they made the ceremony with traditions meaningful to them. The guests tossed floral compost from Ampersand - so pretty! The day began with a morning surf followed by the beach ceremony and dinner and dancing at Nick’s. What a memorable weekend, it was so fun to tag along on this adventure. Congrats M and P!

Wellfleet Preservation Hall Wedding | Cape Cod Wedding Photographer

I was able to step in the ocean one last time as the warm weather winds down and the October sunset after the lobster boil welcome party did not disappoint! S and B currently reside in the bay area but got married at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall where the family has a home. This wedding was full of joy, love, and epic dance moves. Thank you for having me S&B and congratulations!

Brant Point Lighthouse and Nantucket Hotel Wedding | Nantucket Wedding Photographer

When L contacted me about the possibility of photographing her wedding she wrote me the most touching letter about her incredible fiancé and her love of Nantucket. She has been going to the island since she was an infant and has fond memories of time spent their with family away from the hustle of day-to-day life. Being on the island it truly does feel far removed, you breathe easier and can really just be in the here and now.

I can’t thank my previous clients enough for kindly referring me to their friends so I can continue photographing the weddings of such kind and fun loving people. I also wanted to thank Nantucket Island Events, the Nantucket Hotel, Sweet Melissa Florals, and countless other people who helped make this day a success.

Congrats L and A!
